Boris Johnson's answer to Sarah Olney's question in yesterday's PMQs has led to Sadiq Khan, among many others, accusing the PM of lying.
From The London Economic:
During today’s PMQs Boris Johnson made a series of stinging attacks on Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.
He claimed Transport for London (TfL) was “effectively bankrupted” before coronavirus, and proposals to hike charges are “entirely the responsibility” of the capital’s Mayor Sadiq Khan.
He made the comments after Mr Khan accused the Government of “ill-advised and draconian” plans in return for a second bailout.

It seems that Tory politicians have been queuing up to play politics with the bridge. Boris Johnson, Shaun Bailey, Grant Shapps, Greg Hands and Zac Goldsmith have all taken the chance to use the bridge's closure to rubbish the efforts being made by LBHF and TfL.
It doesn't seem to occur to them that the electorate of Barnes and Hammersmith aren't fools; they can tell when they are being lied to, and they will no doubt make their feelings known at the ballot box in due course.
