Olympics roads boss to lead on Hammersmith Bridge repair plan

The former Transport for London (TfL) official who masterminded the operation of London’s roads ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games has been brought in to oversee repair plans for Hammersmith Bridge.
Dana Skelley has been appointed to the government taskforce to lead engineering teams looking at how to repair the cast iron structure.

The government taskforce was set up earlier this month after council leaders warned prime minister Boris Johnson that the bridge faces a “catastrophic failure” without urgent repairs.

Would that be the same "laser-like focus" that has seen the Government take no interest at all in the matter up till now?
